With a little bit of work, it looks like tis "stray cat intervention is going to come off.  The pieces are coming together.  the neighbors agreed to hold the little girl until her surgery.  She'll be in a cage, but she'll be warm and fed regularly.  Meanwhile, Mooch will be taken to Open Door Animal Sanctuary.  I understand they have a really nice facility.

The earliest day I could get at Webster Groves Animal Hospital is December 7.  I may hunt around for another, earlier vet in the meantime.  So she'll go there, then I'll take her to the folks' -- or maybe since she'll be used to the neighbors -- keep her there.  By then, I'm hoping that she might also be admitted at Open Door.  I think that might be her best bet.  they have someone there who socializes ferals.

If all goes well, we'll stuff Mooch in a cage Saturday morning & trap her & put her in the cage in the neighbor's house -- possibly the same day.  We don't want her to disappear.
