Better news on Sky. His blood readings are better than when he was brought home, so perhaps his kidneys haven't completely failed. Tentative relief. Took him back to the vet last night.

Took Max to the specialists this morning.  While his eyes are a bit irritated, everything else seems to be going okay.  He's back to his talkative self - I think a certain amount of boredom with being isolated, maybe.

Interesting side note I hadn't mentioned previously: the doctor pointed out from the original x-rays that Max apparently has some curvature of the spine.  Poor guy.  But it doesn't seem to bother him.  Apparently, it's genetic - not something that developed as a result of the cancer or anything.
